The rack and pinion has a travel and ratio with full turning radius that feels almost like power steering! The best part of this system is that it installs easily (within hours) using the existing chassis hole locations... just like Henry had in mind! Complete kit includes everything needed except the steering wheel.

1) What year Mustang do you have? _________
2) Do you have you Granada spindles? __________
3) Does it have a 6-Cylinder or a V8? _________
4) Is that the original engine? __________
a) If not what was the original engine? _________
b) If not what is the current engine in your car? _________
5) Is the car manual steering or does it have power assist? ________
6) Does the car have an Automatic or Manual transmission? ______________
a) If a Manual transmission, does the clutch use a shaft or cable linkage? ________
6) Do you know of any steering modification to your car? _________
7) Do you plan to re-use your original steering wheel? _________
Notes:
1) Front end alignment is necessary after installation.
2) Even though the stock outer tie rod ends will be used for most kits, Flaming River always recommends that you purchase new outer tie rod ends.
3) 65-66 Mustangs With Power steering must use manual tie rod ends with kit # FR300-65.
4) Kits that do not include column require modification of your original column
The part numbers consist of the following: "65" = Original spindle uses your original outer tie rod; "KT" = Granada spindle includes new outer ends; "MU" = Indicates original Ford spline on tilt column; "HR" = Forward mount cradle for universal fit; "PL" = Polished tilt column.
